Only a week into the season tensions have been seeming to grow inside the Raptors organization. With a GM reportedly on an unannounced vacation to a battle for the PG spot, there are rumors of drama inside of the locker room. Following an embarrassing loss in preseason, the team hoped to make a statement in week 1, but ultimately fell short losing 63-60 against the Wizards.

GM Zach reportedly not traveling with team Recent reports are claiming that Raptors Coach has not been traveling with the team to practice and games, seeming to not work with the team following the draft. A source in Cancun said he has been looking into hotel deals for the team following the regular season. The players seem to be fine with his absence and have been working together for a game plan, but they hope to get to work with their coach once he returns.

Battle for PG With the final pick of the first round Raptors fans were excited to find a high potential PG in Kenny Scott, who had fallen down some draft boards due to work ethic and long term development concerns. There is no questioning Scott's athletic and scoring ability, but some had doubts when comparing him to other prospects that he could live up to the hype, the Raptors on the other hand were excited to have the chance to snag a potential all time great at the end of the first round as they saw the potential and felt he was a steal falling so low. Then following that pick they entered the second round, where they decided to draft another PG in Miles Winston who alongside having a large frame of 6'7 has also shown promising potential. There were some questions surrounding who would run point going into preseason, with many assuming Scott would as he is shorter and the most athletic prospect we have seen. As gameday lineups were announce "M. Winston" was on top of the sheet.

While there haven't seemed to been problems surrounding this lineup decision so far, there are reports of potential tension growing in the locker room. From Winston in his draft interviews we've heard him say that he only wants to play PG unless he is playing with someone he feels "deserves the spot over him". On the other hand Scott was heard referring to Winston as his "Klay Thompson" in post game interviews, inferring that he sees him as his secondary star. With management currently not handling the issue, could this potentially turn for the worse?

Raptors practice disagreement There was reportedly an argument in the Raptors locker room where Winston was frustrated with his wings lack of shooting ability. Scott also showed frusteration in one wing player's lack of defensive effort. Winston told trainers to give the wing players a list of drills to improve certain aspects of their game, but it has yet to be seen if these have been followed through. This all is another potential avenue of rising tension inside the Raptors locker room. Winston has assumed the coach role and is deciding the gameplan, but will players go along with and fit themselves for team success?
